After hearing from a Q&A Panel, attendees will engage in small group discussions facilitated by Dr Dyann Ross. Following the lunch break, a discussion will be held on the feedback from the small groups.
Issues and outcomes will be placed on our website and the information will be offered to other organisations who may be able to assist in the implentation. Objectives are to discuss ways to support our loved ones when our support is no longer there and to develop outcomes to address these findings. There may be things we are able to put in place now while planning for the future.

Keynote Speaker: Bob Lee
Bob is retired and lives in Nambour. He is active in developing and supporting unpaid advocacy for people with disability in the local community.
Bob has worked with people with disability since 1979. He moved to the Sunshine Coast in 1996 to begin work as the Coordinator of Queensland's first Citizen Advocacy Program, a community organisation focussed on providing protection and advocacy for vulnerable people with intellectual disability.
Bob has professional and personal experience with the issues experienced by people with mental illness and their families.

Dyann is Senior Lecturer in social work at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
Dyann is a keen advocate for people with a lived experience of mental ill health and for the people who love and care for them. She worked for many years in the mental health system and networks in the community and has a continuing commitment to support non-government groups and organisations in the mental health area.

Tickets can be purchased at our monthly Information Group Meetings
and at our Special Event to be held in July (see below).
As many who are familiar with Naradell would know, our ultimate goal is to create a rural facility and an urban hub, both especially designed to support those living with a mental illness, as well as an Information Centre about supports for mental health on the Sunshine Coast.
To progress on our journey, we need to continually conduct fundraising activities to cover our overheads, such as public liability insurance, room hire fees and many more ongoing expenses. We seek your support with these fundraising efforts.
Our Raffle will be drawn at the Carer Round Table Discussion on Tuesday 4th July 2023.

In native American legends the hummingbird is often portrayed as a healer or spirit being who helps people in need. It is also always actively seeking the sweetest nectar, reminding us to forever seek out the good in life and the beauty in each day.
