Form Your Team Participants will be invited to form teams (although any individual is welcome to meet the challenge alone). See how creative you can be with your Team name! (There may be a treat for the most innovative name.)
Let The Fun Begin ! Each Team will be provided with clues as to the route of the Walk (starting point will be at the Naradell marquee in Cotton Tree Park, Maroochydore) and along the way your observational skills will be challenged by having questions to answer. Teams will set off on a staggered start. There'll be some fun grass games to play and a sausage sizzle at the end.
Watch This Space for more information as the date gets closer. There will be an Application Form/Expressions of Interest followed by Confirmation of Registration. Team numbers will be limited due to Covid-19 Regulations, team packs and catering purposes.
Proudly supported by Sunshine Coast Council's grants program.
Mental illness affects not only the individual, but also those who care for them, or care about them. This could be family or friends, but whatever the relationship it can be helpful to share experiences with and receive support from those who understand. Share your experiences if you feel comfortable, or listen to others. We will often have a Guest Speaker on a variety of topics but will always allow time for friendly chat.
We are very pleased to announce our Guest Speakers for our August meeting are Lorrae & Vince O'Rourke. Lorrae & Vince share their home in the Nambour area for respite for Carers.

This year the Carer Gateway was introduced by the Australian Government, bringing about many changes to Carer Support. One change in Queensland was a shift from Carers Qld to Wellways which brought to an end the Mental Health Support Group facilitated by Carers Qld on the Sunshine Coast and as far as we are aware there has been no replacement for this support.
Our meetings are open to all who care for, or care about, those living with a mental illness, or perhaps you care for yourself. You are all welcome, as well as those who work or volunteer in the mental health sector.
Our meetings are free but to help us cover the cost of room hire & refreshments your loose change popped into our donation box would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
